I like to just choose a random book to read, so while I was in the library I was looking at the back of the book UGLIES. I thought it seemed interesting enough so I checked it out. That is the book that I read for the 1st Quarter. The author of my amazing book UGLIES is Scott Westerville. This book was a challenge for me to read because it was 425 pages! The reason why I wanted to read this book is because my old friend Taylor recommended this book to me because she read all of the books (UGLIES, PRETTIES, SPECIALS, EXTRAS).
Two of the main characters in the story UGLIES are Tally Youngblood and Perris. You could describe Tally’s characteristics because she has brown hair, blue eyes, and skinny. You also can describe Perris’s characteristics because he has light brown hair, pretty brown eyes, and he is not skinny and not fat so he is average weight.
In my book I read the main characters (Tally, Perris) were trying to make Tally a pretty. A pretty is when you are beautiful like everyone thinks you are pretty, in order to become a pretty there is an operation that turns you pretty (you can only get the operation when you turn 16) what they doctors do is the work on you face like they make your nose smaller or your skin smoother you know stuff like that. What I think is the most interesting is that they some how make you stronger way stronger than anybody else.
If I were to rate this book out of 5 possible stars I would give it 5 stars because it is really an interesting book. If I were a teacher and I read this book I would recommend UGLIES to my students or other teachers because once you start reading I bet you cant stop well that was what happened to me so I guess it must be a good book since I couldn’t cause I’m usually not interested in books. So I hope you read the book UGLIES!!!
